Exploring care options can feel daunting, especially when it comes to cost. That’s why we keep things clear, transparent, and personal.
Your care plan and its cost depend entirely on your individual needs. Some people only need short visits each week, while others require full-time or live-in support. We’ll always provide a detailed quote before care begins, with no hidden fees.
Depending on your situation, care may be funded by your local council or NHS Continuing Healthcare, or you may choose to pay privately. Either way, we’ll guide you through every step so you can make informed, confident decisions.

Looking for flexible home support?
Please enquire about our current visiting care costs, with every plan tailored to your unique needs. Whether you’d like a friendly visit once a week or daily support, our care is built to fit around you.
Every Homecare1st carer is:
We believe in honesty from the start, so you’ll always know exactly what you’re paying for.

For those who need continuous support, please enquire about our latest live-in care costs.
This service allows you to remain in your own home with complete peace of mind. Your carefully matched carer will provide day-to-day assistance, emotional support, and companionship, all with oversight from our regional management and clinical teams to ensure the highest quality of care.

If your assets, including savings and investments, total more than £23,250, you’ll likely need to cover your care costs privately.
However, when receiving care in your own home, your property's value is usually not considered. If you're unsure where you stand, your local council can carry out a Financial Assessment to help clarify your options.
This assessment will determine whether:

If your Financial Assessment shows that you’ll need to pay for your own care, we’re here to support you through the process. We know it can feel overwhelming, so we’ll work with you and your loved ones to create a personalised care and payment plan that fits your needs, now and in the future.
As your circumstances change, your care plan can be adjusted to suit. And if you ever have questions about funding, just ask; we’ll either answer directly or connect you with someone who can. With Homecare1st, transparency and trust come as standard.

You may be eligible for financial support, including:
These benefits can help alleviate the financial burden of accessing the care and support you need. If you’re unsure what you may be entitled to, we’re happy to point you in the right direction.

Hospital Discharge & Reablement
If you need short-term care following a hospital stay, you may be eligible for up to 6 weeks of free recovery support (known as intermediate reablement) at home. Hospital staff will assess your needs and arrange support before you’re discharged.
Social Care Support
If you require help with daily living or need to move into a care home, your local authority may contribute to or fully fund your care, depending on your financial situation.
In England and Northern Ireland, if your savings and assets are below £23,250, you may qualify for support.

NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) is a fully funded package of care provided by the NHS for adults over 18 who have ongoing and significant health needs. It’s not means-tested, which means your financial situation won’t affect your eligibility. Depending on your circumstances, care can be provided in your own home or within a care or nursing setting.
To access this support, a nurse, doctor, or social worker will usually complete an initial assessment. If you meet the criteria, a full evaluation will follow, carried out by a team of health and social care professionals using what’s known as the Decision Support Tool.
If you qualify, your local Integrated Care Board (ICB) will arrange and fund your ongoing care, ensuring you receive the right level of support for your medical and personal needs.

If you’re found not to be eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare, you may still qualify for NHS Funded Nursing Care. This applies when your assessment identifies that you need regular support from a registered nurse as part of your ongoing care.
In this case, the NHS will contribute directly toward the nursing element of your care. This helps ensure you receive the professional medical support you need while still benefiting from personalised day-to-day care at home.

If you’re eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare or NHS Funded Nursing Care, you may be offered a Personal Health Budget. This gives you more choice and control over how your care and support are arranged and delivered.
There are three main ways this budget can be managed:
At Homecare1st, we’ll support you throughout this process, helping you make sense of your options and ensuring that your care plan reflects your life, your choices, and your goals.

Every care journey is different, that’s why all our care packages are completely bespoke. Your fees will depend on the level and type of support you need, whether it’s a few hours a week or full-time complex care.
We’ll work closely with you (and your family, where appropriate) to design a personalised plan that suits both your needs and your budget.
We believe in complete transparency, with no hidden costs or unexpected fees. From your very first conversation with us, you’ll receive clear, straightforward information about your care options and what to expect.
At Homecare1st, our focus is on delivering exceptional care that’s flexible, personal, and built around you, a meaningful alternative to residential care, designed to help you live well, at home.
